Morse Micro Wi-Fi HaLow Technology Receives Matter Certification

Morse Micro, the world’s leading provider of Wi-Fi HaLow chips, today announced that its MM6108-EKH05-Light developer platform has received Matter certification from the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA).

This certification marks a significant milestone for Wi-Fi HaLow technology, demonstrating seamless interoperability, security, and ease of integration for smart home and IoT devices.

Matter is the latest open standard for smart home connectivity, designed to unify and simplify communication across devices, regardless of manufacturer or ecosystem. With this certification, Morse Micro is able to show compatibility between Wi-Fi HaLow and Matter-enabled smart home platforms, allowing users to experience ease of provisioning alongside a reliable and future-proof smart home experience.

Michael De Nil, co-founder and CEO of Morse Micro, said:

“Matter certification for our Wi-Fi HaLow platform underscores our commitment to open standards and interoperability.”

“Achieving Matter certification for a Wi-Fi HaLow product is a testament to our ongoing efforts to enhance device compatibility, user experience, and sustainable innovation. By supporting Matter, our customers benefit from a smarter, more connected world with greater interoperability, flexibility and security.”

The Matter certification process required rigorous testing to validate Morse Micro’s MM6108-EKH05-Light developer platform against Matter’s robust specifications. As a result, users can trust that the device will work reliably within Matter-supported ecosystems, eliminating compatibility concerns and ensuring a more streamlined setup and operation. The platform’s sub-GHz performance makes it particularly well-suited for smart home and industrial IoT devices operating in challenging environments.
